Do you believe that it only takes about 30-60p to do SEO. Will it help you to increase your overall ranking in just a few days…?

Better yet, if your website is a new website – Will it help you get out of the Google Sandbox after just one Google Submit URL after optimization?

Yes, that is absolutely true with Entity Building techniques, specifically the application of Schema Markup .

"However! I don't know anything about coding!" Oh, don't worry if you don't know anything about coding. Because I'm here to guide you step by step.

First, let's find out what is Schema...

What is Schema?

Schema is a piece of html or javascript code used to mark up structured data. Schema is used to help search engines read your website more easily, and increase your ability to rank in search results.

What is schema?

What is Schema Concepts?

With the same search content, but Google Engine can understand it in many different ways, resulting in results that may not be as desired by the user. Schema is the place that provides specific data so that Search Engine can understand exactly what content the website is referring to, the topic it is talking about, etc., thereby giving the right display to the user's wishes.

Schema also helps the website become more professional, attract more traffic because it provides a lot of useful and valuable information for customers.

I also have a video explaining what Schema is ? A step-by-step guide to creating a schema for your website in 2017. See here:

But even if you are familiar with what Schema is. I still recommend reading this article in its entirety.

Because what I'm about to share are different new things about Schema . Certainly very few people know, guaranteed not to disappoint you.

Schema here, I use as a technique to build Entity, this way is a very small trick but helps Google understand your website better. From there, turn the keyword rankings in a positive way!

In this particular case, I'll walk you through creating an Enterprise Schema. Before I show you how to do it in detail, I will go over some of the benefits of Entity, so that you can see how important Entity is in the application to the website.

What is entity?

>> Lesson 1: What is Entity?

how to optimize entity

>> Lesson 2: 10 Ways to optimize SEO Entity

How Does Schema Affect SEO & Search Engines?

According to what Google announced, Schema Markup is not a ranking factor/signal.

In fact, there are many controversial opinions surrounding this issue. But one thing is for sure: Don't trust what Google says 100%, it's not that they're not transparent, they have to keep the algorithm secret.

Let's explore the following points to understand more about the impact of Schema Markup on SEO:

CTR (Click Through Rate – Click Through Rate)

Schema Markup may not be a ranking signal, but it can certainly help with rankings (at least indirectly).

You see, any change that happens to (your) search results will have an impact on CTR. Negative changes will decrease CTR, whereas positive changes will increase CTR.

With a higher CTR, the rankings will also be higher.

If a lot of people click on your page in the search results, Google will get a signal that the user wants to read your content.

To meet that need, Google will rank your article higher so more people see it. This happens all the time, so don't expect your posts to stay ranked for long.

Tomorrow, competitors will probably change the title of the content so that their CTR is higher than yours. Of course, Google will also notice that, the ranking will be changed again.

Meanwhile, Schema Markup can help drive CTR thanks to its ease of retrieval, visualization and analysis. Through Schema, Google will check the information of the page accurately and many times faster, thereby increasing the CTR for the page.

Priority

Although saying that Schema Markup affects the ranking. You should still make it a priority to resolve SEO and page related issues before using it.

It is necessary to ensure important factors such as keyword research, content optimization, Onpage SEO, etc. And it is completed before adding the Schema to the page.

Why prioritize those factors first? Because Google says they understand the content needed to show the snippet to the user with or without the Schema.

Example: If there is some HTML with 5 stars and the text “Rate: 4.7 – 24 comments”. Google automatically guesses and extracts your review snippet without the help of Scheme (or structured data).

However, if you want reviews to have a higher chance of showing up, then Schema Markup will definitely come in handy.

Chapter 0: The Intimate Relationship Between Schema and Entity

Practical benefits of Entity

  • Google strongly believes in websites that it has identified as an Entity and wants more and more websites to implement Entity from 2013 to now and in the future.

  • It is very difficult for competitors to find out the website you have Entity on if they do not have a root knowledge of Entity Building. (If you think Entity is easy to figure out, in this article I will prove the opposite for you).

  • The time to affect and update is fast, here when the Schema is done and submitted, only 3, 4 days later, I have seen the change.

  • Another advantage is that Entity helps improve rankings significantly for keywords that are stuck on page 2, 3 in the black sheep effect or when your website is Sandboxed.

schema - Entity helps website get out of Sandbox

Entity has the advantage of being able to help your website get out of the Sandbox

  • Ranking up very fast and strong. Surely new SEO keywords that are outside the top 100 will also fly to pages 4 and 5 immediately after implementing Entity (of course with no penalty websites).

  • Entity is also a solid screen that protects your website from the risk of Google penalties or unexpected algorithm updates
(For example, if you want to know, it is GTV's comeback after only a month). integrity).

  • Extremely effective in increasing Trust (trust) for newly created websites is another advantage of Entity that you should remember.

  • Cultivate a steady increase in organic traffic to your website

Opinions about Entity

At the same time, there are also mixed opinions about Entity that is not much different from the way to dominate Google SEO Map as I shared in 2017 (or other social videos).

As you can see, it is not difficult for the opponent to realize that he is an Entity and they are also easy to imitate.

I would like to correct that:

Entity is not as simple as you think.

If so, then it didn't take me 4 or 5 consecutive months to figure out a bit about Entity, nor fail and bleed so many projects.

Then, it's not that simple, there are currently very few articles in the world that deal with Entity techniques specifically.

Schema technique - Entity elusive

Entity techniques are hard to grasp

Problems beginners SEO-er often encounter

It is true that the way SEO Google Map or the use of social networking sites for SEO so far is quite similar to the way I instruct in the Offline session.

But there's a problem here is that every time I mention a familiar name, a topic that's been talked about, people seem to know it all. Almost refuse to accept it anymore, even if it's new, that's how they make themselves obsolete….

And one more thing you need to know: Social is just a tiny piece of Entity Building, there are countless other Entity building techniques.

If you are a person who likes to tinker with learning, then with the root knowledge of Entity that I share in the offline session. Accompanied by self-study, I am sure you will realize many things, Schema Markup is one of them.

Entity validation using Schema

In Entity Building, to define “entity” and let Google trust you more, there are 2 types of Schema needed:

  • Schema Business (about business)

  • Schema Person (about people)

The 2 most necessary schema types

The 2 Most Necessary Schema Types

At the Offline event, I also said: Any business is founded by an individual.

When Google checks the website, if it finds the information and data about a certain website is consistent with what is recorded about it on the Internet, and this company was founded by a person A.

Google easily identifies your website as an identifiable entity. From there, it will help increase the overall ranking of the website .

Chapter 1: Step by step approach to Schema

Difference Schema, Microdata and Structured Data

First, let me briefly summarize the meanings of the terms: What is Structured Data, Microdata and Schema .

  • Structured Data : A generic term representing items associated with values for a better structure of information. It can be related to SEO and anything else that contains information.

  • Microdata: A format that represents how data is structured in a "visual way". To make it easier to understand, think of it as text, audio or video. Example: A structured data in Microdata format or in JSON-LD format.

  • Schema: A vocabulary that defines terms and values, there are many different types of vocabulary such as Dublin Core. To make it easier to understand, we can think of them as a kind of language.

Schema.org is adopted by many platforms, so it is preferred, especially in implementing Structured Data.

There are a few points we need to keep in mind:

  • There are structured data in many formats, like Microdata or JSON-LD.

  • Term can be defined using many vocabulary such as Schema.org or Dublin Core.

  • Use optional vocabulary with optional formatting

  • When people talk about Schema Markup, they are most likely talking about Structured data (Structured data uses Schema.org)

Types of Schema Markup Trusted by Google

I'm sure you're wondering how many types of Schema Markup are there? Well, there are quite a few Markups, however there are only a limited number of Rich snippet types that Google develops, each of which is improved and has its own unique features.

Chapter 2: Instructions for creating Schema from A to Z

Reading this far, I bet you have a good understanding of what Schema is , its benefits and important Schema types. And now it's time for me to detail how to create a Schema for your website. Accompanied by specific notes for each step of creation.

To make it easy, I have made a video on how to create Schema from A - Z below, please see specifically how I create Schema. I encourage you to watch both the video and the article because of its detail.

In addition to the specific video, I've also written a recap of the video below about the key points when you're implementing the Schema that you can see, if you're not the type of person who watches videos.

Well, to do this exactly. Please fill in the content below to receive a sample Schema form

Schema Business (about business)

Google has a great tool for you to create and test the Schema is working properly before you insert it into the source code of your website. It's Structured Data Testing Tool here.

Example of GTV . Schema

Example of GTV . Schema

As you can see in the above example, there are 2 different types of information in the Schema fragment. The left column is the “type of information” you need to enter. The right column is the information provided by me corresponding to the requested information type. The contents to be entered are separated by a ",".

Note:

These punctuation marks must be used correctly. Otherwise the test will return an error result and your Schema will not work. There are the following main types of specific information you need to provide:

  • Context : https://schema.org

  • Type : Should add the types of businesses that Schema refers to.
In case of adding a business type that is not in the Schema list, the Schema may report an error, but the ranking may increase. Because the team that created the Business Type Schema is different from the Google algorithm founder team, this is very difficult for the opponent to notice (I will talk about it in detail below).

  • @id : Company website URL

  • Url : Company website URL

  • Logo : The URL of the logo must be the link to the business website. The logo image meets the minimum requirement: 112x112px, in .jpg vs .png format, and allows Google bots to index the image.

  • Image : Put any image of the company

  • Pricerange : Service price (with currency code such as VND, $, ...)

  • HasMap : This part is quite important, you must declare exactly where the company address is. Here's how to find it:

Step 1: Get the business's Google Map address URL

Go to Google Map search for the business name to get the URL of your company address. Note do not copy the URL directly on the browser bar -> select " share " -> select "copy link".

Get the link from Google Map correctly declared in the Hasmap schema

Get the link from Google Map to correctly declare the Hasmap schema

Step 2: Check the redirect of the URL link you took in the share

Make sure this link redirects 301 to get the full Link Juice from Google when in the Schema. If this is a 302 redirect link, it will correspond to a nofollow link, not a dofollow. So you won't get the full power out of it.

To check, go to redirect-checker.org

Paste the link to check into the search box, select the type of bot to check. At this point, I will choose the type of Search Bot - Google Bot , and finally click " Analyse ".

Check the link via google bot

Check the link via bot and copy the link right above 200 OK

As you can see, the results returned are as follows: This is a 301 redirect link, returning the correct URL of your Google address. And this link has the code 200 – That means it can be indexed. that's ok! Please take this link and put it in the Hasmap section.

If that's the case, how do you check for 302 redirects? Now copy the URL right above 200 OK to paste it.

insert link into hasmap schema

Insert the link you just copied into the Hasmap section of the schema

  • Email : Add the text “mailto” in front of the email. Example: mailto:info@gtvseo.com

  • Founder : The name of the person who founded the company.

  • Address : Copy the exact address on Google Map and paste it in.
If this information you need to update to the latest address, first go to Google My Business to edit. Then copy the same to the Schema.
Again, if Google My Business you enter the business address as 33 Dang Thai Mai, Ward 7, Phu Nhuan, 70000, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam . Then don't write the Schema, you're just 33 Dang Thai Mai, Ward 7, Phu Nhuan , just write down exactly what you've entered in Google My Business.

  • Description : Description of the company service.

  • Name : The company name on all pages must be the same.
I see many companies name each place 1 style.
For example: There is a place for GTV SEO , there is a place for GTV SEO Co., Ltd. , there is another place for GTV SEO Company .
That's not okay. Everywhere on the Internet, your company name should be the same.
The example here I let is: GTV SEO on Google Maps, then Schema will also record GTV SEO . Many of you are afraid that if you do not insert keywords into Google Map, you will not be able to SEO to the top.
Not so. As you can see, I don't need to try to stuff keywords into the brand but still get to the top.
As for my other competitors, even if they put keywords in, the rankings are still behind GTV. You will have many ways to SEO Google Map, this part of the brand name is only a small part, you have dozens of other ways. Typically, you should reread the Google Map 2021 Dominant Case Study here for one of the ways I've done it successfully.

  • Phone number : Same, must be the same everywhere.

  • Time : Unify opening hours on Google My Business and on Schema. (open, close, day off ...).

  • Geo : Longitude and latitude coordinates of the business on Google Map. You must get this information in the “Share” section link. Avoid zooming in and out of the map, because your latitude and longitude may change accordingly.

Record the exact coordinates in the Geo . section

Record the exact coordinates in the Geo section provided on Google Map

Again, be precise. If the longitude is 10.830954 , write it in the Schema as 10.830954 , not just 10.83 .

  • Potential Action : Is the place to go to your landing page for customers to click on. Like me, I want to lead users to the registration page for SEO services, so I put the URL of the registration page in.

  • SamAs : Quite important. This is where you paste in other information on the Internet that describes your company in more detail. Note: this information must be placed on reputable websites. For example: You have a PR article about your company on Vnexpress, Dantri or on wikipedia. In addition, you also include your other social networking sites; especially the sites Google encourages you to put in the list here

Suggest:

  • In addition, you can also add other social networks such as Snapchat, Spotify…and many more to Schema.
Although Google does not require it, when researching some famous foreign websites, they put more than 40 social networking sites into Schema. It looks spammy, but it's effective. I also apply the same to many of the projects I work on.

  • Regarding social in sameas (in both business and person below), you should put it in the social networks I listed in the last offline GTV SEO Entity session. Google loves it!

  • Sameas is a data syntax that many people don't know about and would be surprised to hear.
Each URL inserted here will act as a link, an outbound link . So you are passing your Link Juice to the page you fill out (It doesn't count the Anchor Text, only the power).

Many of you are afraid that this link out will lose the power of your website, which is very wrong.

Actually, I really support you to link out

Because like I said in the Entity Mastermind course and many other videos about the silo structure of the website. When there is an in link pointing back, there should also be an out link pointing out, so it's only natural.

entity mastermind course

Entity Mastermind course mention link out

If you are thinking of putting 40, 50 social networking sites in the sameas section of the Schema, you should include the pages you don't want SEO for. Or general information about the business.

For example, I inserted dozens of social networking sites on the Schema of the GTV SEO homepage. My site doesn't need SEO for it, and for the "SEO Services in Ho Chi Minh City" page, I don't put too many links on it. To avoid losing too much power, linking out is fine, but not too much!

Schema technique not everyone knows

There's a little trick I want to tell you about Schema, which I think Google is hiding from you. Specifically, in the Schema only some Local Business types are added as its instructions.

For example: If your company's service is accounting – then declare Accountant Service.

But you'll probably want to be more specific about the service type that the Schema doesn't specify. At this point, you will do the following:

For example, with GTV SEO I want to be an Internet Marketing Service, not just a Local Business.

Then first I will change the browser language on Google My Business to English, to know exactly what is the name of my service in English? Note that all content you declare on Schema must be in English, Vietnamese Google does not understand.

With GTV SEO, the English service name is Internet Marketing Service. You will fill it in the Schema in the @type section , remember to write it without spaces.

After clicking the check arrow, the returned result is incorrect. You get a red message that says "This is a type of business that Google doesn't know about"

Schema tool does not recognize Schema

Schema tool does not recognize your Schema even though it's not wrong

At what point am I wrong?

Actually, here Google is fooling you.

I mean, the team that code the Schema.org structured data and the team that code the Google scoring algorithm are two different teams. Therefore, it is possible that the two teams do not agree on information. And I think this is one of the “bugs” at Google.

I reminded you throughout the video and the Offline session that it is extremely important to align information. Therefore, according to the principle of information uniformity, you will also leave this section on the Schema as " internetmarketingservice " even though it gives an error.

According to my test results and the person who taught me this trick, when I just submitted the Schema to do this, my Google Map ranking jumped up after a few days . Although, just one small detail here!

At this point, you may not believe what I say, but you should test it to verify!

Things to note when making Schema

All the data you declare on the Internet & on Google and on the Schema of your website must match every detail. That way, it's easier for Google to authenticate you, giving you more ranking points.

For example: The URL declaration section on Schema, there are many people who declare this URL section on Google My Business as the URL they are looking for SEO. While on Schema, leave it as the original URL. This will definitely confuse Google, you should leave all the questions asked for only 1 information. Remember!

The next part I introduce to you is the Person Schema – The specific individual that makes up the business.

Schema Person (about individuals)

  • Context : https://schema.org/

  • Type : Person

  • Name : Name of the person who founded the business

  • Jobtitle : Job Position

  • Image : Image of the business owner

  • Work for : Business name

  • Url : Personal Facebook page address. Or another social networking site. Or if there is a page on the website that describes the details of the person who founded the business, please put that URL in. Because you want to provide Google with the most complete information about the business owner

  • Sameas : Same as above. We will put in this section the social media sites that Google really likes. At Entity's Offline I have given a list of social networking sites that individual business owners should create. Please do not share this list again with everyone. Because I also want to keep you guys who attended Offline last 1 advantage over everyone else.

  • Alumiof : Information about which school the business owner attended. For example on Facebook, I went to Nguyen Thuong Hien school and RMIT school, so I will copy and paste the same into this section.

Schema code sample

What makes it extremely difficult for your opponent to analyze your strategy?

At this point, I think, if you don't understand Entity well, you won't do Schema as thoroughly as I instructed above, or even don't do Schema anymore.

It is very difficult for your opponent to recognize this trick if your opponent does not understand the roots of Entity and the principle of information uniformity. Your opponent checks your Schema for an error, but who knows that was your intention. Just one tiny detail, but you can change the game!

Schema makes your strategy unpredictable

Schema is what makes your strategy unpredictable

There are many people who say that Schema is normal, it only takes 5 minutes for me to realize how GTV does Entity, it is not as simple as you think.

You see, this is just one tiny trick among the many other Entity techniques that GTV is implementing. However, the opponent is very difficult to recognize. Entity Building is a big topic. There are many more cool things, I will share slowly in the future!

Chapter 3: How Schema Testing Works

Check Schema with Google Search Console

Google Search Console shows all detected Markup types in the Enhancements tab:

Check Schema

Check Schema with Webmaster

Click on a specific Schema type to view the report:

view each schema type

Go to each Schema type to view information

If you've validated your Markup before deploying then there's definitely no problem here. You should also be aware that there are some attributes that are required for some Schema types, which can cause errors if you are missing them. Fortunately, they're usually insignificant, so don't worry too much.

Check Markup with Structured Data Testing Tool

Use the Structured Data Testing Tool to test how your page will look with Markup added.

Instead of analyzing a published web page, we will go into analyzing the code that the tool generated in the example below:

check schema markup

How to test your page when adding Markup

After you have pasted the code, select “preview.” This tool will show how articles will show up in Google search results.

check schema markup with structdata testing tool

Show code snippet on Schema org

In addition, you can also check any added Markup elements.

check schema org

Self-test Markup added

If necessary, you will edit the HTML directly in the tool to update the Schema and preview the results right there.

Bonus: Instructions for inserting Schema for Wordpress

There are many different types of Schema, but you should choose JSON-LD Schema like what I have instructed you above. Schema should be inserted in the header of the website.

You can choose to have Schema in the footer, or in the content of the article, but it will reduce the effect of Schema a lot! I also tested it and found that the Schema Header section helps to improve rankings much better. Remember.

Here I will guide where to insert the schema into Wordpress websites:

Step 1: First, you need to download a plugin called Header and Footer Scripts, which allows you to insert scripts into the header. After downloading the plugin and activating it, we will insert the Script Schema like I did just now and select Update!

insert schema into Header

Tool Header and Footer Scripts allows inserting Schema into Header

Step 2: Refresh the page and check the source code of the page. You will now see the entire Schema section in the header tag.

Step 3: Submit on Google Search Console after inserting the schema into the Header. Note there are 2 types of submission: By computer and Submit with mobile version. I found that when submitting with the mobile version, the Google index was faster; usually about 2, 3 days => check in Google check the structure.

The great techniques of Schema Google not everyone knows

  • Schema must be inserted for each page : In the past, we often created Schema once for the entire website. But in this article I will not guide you to do so. We will create Google Schema on each page, each URL to avoid, or reduce the risk of being visited by Google Panda due to duplicate content issues.
Schema is still the code of HTML. If you leave the Schema on the whole site, it is very easy to have Duplicated Content (duplicate content). Because the Panda algorithm identifies duplicate content based on your website's HTML.

  • Schema in Header : As in Google's guidelines, leaving Schema in Header will enjoy the full benefits of Schema. So try to insert the entire Schema in the Header section.

The “Red Carpet” effect helps you get out of the Sandbox

During my research, if I use the Entity technique with social that I instruct in the offline session (must follow what I instruct, not just you "create social" and fill in the information. where) with Schema and other Entity authentication techniques I guide in the offline session to the new website, people call this technique "Red carpet" and help the website get out of the Sandbox.

Art "Red Carpet"

When new websites start to be indexed and Google can "scratch" these websites, Google will immediately recognize who you are? What information on the internet says about you? Who is the founder? How influential are they?…

This scene is like when you go to a show and be the one to walk on the red carpet. At this point, people will notice and recognize you and trust you as Google trusts the website.

So, your website will get out of the "sandbox" area - a Google's restraining algorithm quickly. That's why many people call it the "red carpet" technique.

The concept of Schema and everything about Schema may not be unfamiliar to the experienced SEOer. But not too many people will know the specifics of its benefits, as well as the tricks to hack it. Because you won't find anything similar to this one on the Internet.

Besides the article, I have also prepared a video on how to make Schema directly on the computer. Please use both articles and videos in parallel to make it easier to deploy.

I hope that, now after you finish reading the article, immediately apply this Schema technique to your website. Remember to measure the metrics before and after applying the Schema to see the results clearly.
