Implementing SEO Google Map is not too difficult, but to ensure completeness, integrity and accuracy, you need to understand the stages and implementation process.


Understanding this problem, below I will detail 7 steps for you to implement SEO Google Map easily and most effectively.

Step 1: Install Google Map

First, log in to your Email and proceed to access Google Maps. Then, enter the business address, select the "Add missing location" function.

In this section, you need to provide accurate information such as: Business name, operating category, address, phone number and operating hours of the business. When done, remember to verify your business with Google (Click “Confirm this business” or go to Google My Business) and then click submit.

Finally, confirm the business. Accessing the Google My Business tab, you will be asked to provide business information including:

  • Company's name

  • Country/Territory

  • Specific address (house number, street name, ward, district), city, state,

  • ZIP code

  • Phone number

  • Website link

  • Hours of Operation

  • Business Directory

  • Area of ​​operation/service provision

  • And introductory information (summary about the company, product or service you do business, the strengths that make you different from the competition, ...)

Once they've completed the claim registration, they'll send you a local business ownership verification code. Therefore, make sure you provide accurate business information on Google My Business as they will show up on Google Maps.

Step 2: Optimize images and Geo Tag images

Here, what you need to do is to prepare 20-30 photos of your company/product/service/members… You can use any photo you want, but don't take random pictures, choose the ones you want. real and beautiful photos.

Because of these photos if the user types your company brand name. For example: “ GTV SEO ”, then they will see your company photo.

Of course, you also want your customers to see your best photos, right? As long as these photos are yours and not downloaded from the internet.

If you take photos on the Internet, the ability to get to the Top Google Map will be reduced. Because Google knows that this isn't your real company photo and it's hard to get trust from Google.

And a special thing to note is that these photos should be .jpg images, not .png images. If you only have .png images but no .jpg images, don't worry! I will show you how to convert in the next part of this article.

Name the image

This is when you will optimize the image by giving it a name. Simply because, Googlebot can not see images but only read letters or characters.

Therefore, naming the photos will help Google understand what your company's photo is about. You should name these images with LSI keywords. Specifically, an LSI keyword is a word or phrase that is related to the topic of the main keyword and it is often used in conjunction with the main keyword.

For example: With the main keyword: tourism, the LSI keywords can be: specialty dishes, entertainment places, flight tickets, book tours, homestay bookings, etc.

After you have named the image, you should add more information to the detail for the image. The simple way to do this is as follows:

Right-click on the image > select Properties > Select Detail > Add content for items such as Title, Subject, Rating, Tags, Comments.

Add Geotag to the image

Geotags – Geo (geography – refers a lot to longitude and latitude). Any place on earth is located on Google Maps by latitude and longitude.

By including the geo-tagged image of your business address. After posting on the Internet, your website will be better evaluated and gain the trust of Google.

Because simply, wherever Google goes to get information about you, it will see only one information that is that geographical location. So it's easier for google to believe that you are definitely there.

As a result, the points (Points) related to local businesses are also increased.

Mount the Geotag using the GeoSetter tool:

The geotag tool most used by SEO-ers today is GeoSetter. The tool helps you to attach Geotag, positioning information (GPS), copyright to images very easily and quickly. Rest assured because this software is completely free! Here are detailed instructions when using the GeoSetter tool:

Step 2: Install the tool, then double click to open the tool

Step 3: Select the image to geotag: go to file > open folder > select image

Step 4: Process the image and attach the Geotag as follows:

  • Attach a 5 star rating to the picture

  • Right-click on the image > select Edit Data > Enter latitude in the Latitude box, longitude in the Longitude box according to the business's longitude and latitude > Fill in the same in the Dest box. Latitude and Dest. Longitude > Fill in all information about Country, State/Province, City, Sublocation according to your correct address.

  • Select Save as Template… > select All for all > select OK > Name the image in the name box > select OK.

For images with similar Geotag content, you just need to right-click and select the image > Edit Data > Load as Template…

Step 5: Press Ctrl + S to save all images.

However, this tool can only be used on Windows operating systems. For those of you using the MacOs operating system, you can refer to the tool lines such as: Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, ...

Notes on images when applying Geotag:

Uploaded images must be JPGs or TIFFs only. If you use PNG images, you must convert to JPGs by visiting the website: https://png2jpg.com/en/ and Uploading the images, wait for the process to complete, then Download all to your computer.

Step 3: Post the information on social networks

This is the part of posting your pictures and NAP (Name – Address – Phone) information to major social networking sites. At this point, google will "go around" the Internet and find you on social networking sites.

When conducting Geotags, Google will think:

“This must be a big business, so it just appeared on all 100 social networks like this. And look, all the information is identical, all is phone number 0919-009-6319, name GTV SEO and address, field of SEO, etc. This is a pretty big brand providing SEO services.” .

When you have created 100 social networking sites already. You need to pay special attention, in these nearly 100 of these you do not need to post Geotag images (I will specifically tell you where to post them below). Now you need to prepare:

  • Company's name

  • Phone number

  • Address

  • Contact email

  • Website: this is the URL you need to SEO on Google Map. Like me, HCMC SEO Service is at https://gtvseo.com/dich-vu-seo-ho-chi-minh/ I will enter this URL in the website section. There are social networks that don't let you do this, but only let you fill in the homepage. This is also okay!

  • Short description (under 140 words): introduce your business.

  • Long description (over 200 words): about your business
    The difference between short descriptions and long descriptions is simply that there are social media platforms that are only 140 words or less. While other sites give you more characters. If possible, include as much description as possible. Google always appreciates long and easy-to-index content

Now, to the most important part that not everyone knows how to SEO Google Map. That is uploading Geotag pictures on social networking sites.

In this case, the Address (also the most important part, because Google will show your company map based on that location), is very important. The fact that you continuously plan to strengthen Google to know your address in position A will greatly increase your chances of getting to the top 3 of Google Map.

A few notes when Seo Google Map through Social Stack

You will need to note a few points when optimizing Google Stack for the best performance:

1. Fill in the information on each social network account

After you have a list of social networks to optimize, you need to fill in the description, email address, phone number, website. The information on the website and the information on social networks should be consistent so that Google can identify you as an entity more easily. What do you need to update on social media?

  • Logo image (SEO optimized)

  • Pictures, content of related articles

  • Company's name

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Website address

  • Description of the business

  • Link to Google Map

You can post information about your business on social networks depending on your purpose, but note, you should post just enough for users to realize this is your company's account and not have your account deleted. on suspicion of spam. 2. Unify brand URL across all social media accounts

When you create a social networking site, you will have a new URL. I recommend naming the URLs the same, otherwise just a little different.

For example, the URLs of GTV's social media accounts are:

  • Twitter: https://twitter.com/gtvseo

  • Imgur: https://imgur.com/user/gtvseo2  (I put gtvseo2 because gtvseo and gtvseo overlap with other people's URLs, but basically you should still put it closest to your brand name)

3. Links to other social networking sites

When you link other social networking accounts, your account will not be deleted, Google is easier to index and your SEO also gets to the top faster, I have tried it and it has a clear effect. 🙂

When you install the info section, try to link as many social media accounts as you can. Because Googlebot not only analyzes your Behance account, but it also analyzes the social media links you have on that page to assess whether your business is reputable or not.

Step 4: Set Title for Google My Business

Google My Business (Google Business or Google Business) is a utility platform provided by Google itself and detailed instructions for use. Google Business simply includes all the information of the business displayed on the search results tables (SERPs) and Google Maps.

In this step, I will just name my Google My Business as GTV SEO. Whatever your business name is, put it accordingly.

And indeed, if you name it GTV SEO| SEO services in Ho Chi Minh City will help your business position to the Top more easily.

But if you do so, you are very likely to be penalized by Google and stop your Google My Business account. So if I were you I would just name the business – GTV SEO only!

And that's exactly what I set as well.

Step 5: Adjust the category

I see more than 60% of you doing SEO Google Maps do not optimize the category. Most of the rest don't do it right. In my experience, this is the place that can decide whether you go to the Top Google Map or not?

Tailor the category to your business.

This is just as important as when you optimize the Title tag in  Onpage SEO. If you don't put the title well, you will most likely never get to the first page. And if you put it right, it will help you improve your rankings a lot.

The category here will help Google evaluate and shape the field of your website. That will be the foundation for keywords in that field to be on the first page and also the premise for you to SEO hundreds, thousands of SEO Map keywords that I will talk about below.

Optimizing the GMB . directory

The first thing you need to do is define the EXACT category of your website. Let's say you are SEO the keyword set "seo services". At this point you need to see which category is the top ranked competitor on Google Map.

Choose the most used category as the main category.

In this case you will find the category “Internet marketing services” most used. Next is the "advertising services" category, now you will let the most selected category be the main category in Google My Business.

You are allowed to fill in 4-5 sub-categories. Please fill in the categories where you see your competitors choose the 2nd, 3rd, 4th,.. Here I will leave the advertising service. If the rest of the categories you can't see what your competitors are looking for, choose the categories you think are the most relevant.

Step 6: How to SEO Google Map for a series of keywords

By now you have almost understood what I do with GTV SEO, but I also know that you will wonder why I go to Google Map and my website has a series of keywords like: "seo company", “seo hcm company”, “ho chi minh seo company”, “seo service”, “seo hcm service”, “seo hcm”, “ho chi minh seo”, “seo tphcm”,….

Lots of keywords with only 1 certain URL. That's why my Google Map also comes up with a lot of keywords. There are many of you who think that a URL can only SEO for certain keywords or that Google Map can only SEO for a few keywords, this is completely wrong.

Step 7: Use Citations and Backlinks about Map

But first, you need to be listed on Google Maps and claim your location, which I'll cover next.

1. Add your business to Google Maps

Go to Google Map and click the blue button that says “Manage now” (make sure you are signed in to your Google account).

If your business name doesn't appear, you'll see an option in the drop-down menu to "add missing locations".

After clicking that, you'll be prompted to provide your name, category, and location.

Note here that anyone in the world can add a business to Google Maps. So even if you haven't done so yourself, it's still best to check and make sure your business location doesn't already exist.

And don't worry: Whoever it is, the person who adds your business to Google Maps won't have control over the place. Only the person who claims the location by proving ownership of the business has that control.

Write a business description

The description on your Google Maps business listing should provide the big picture of your business to help direct visitors.

Write in a tone that matches your brand, to help establish a better connection. Make sure your keywords appear in the description, as this will help your Google Maps business profile rank not only for searches containing the brand name, but also for product and service searches. service.

Classify the right business

Local Guide means someone's review of your business on Google Map. Local Guides are accounts that Google has verified as real. The more you review, the higher Google will let you level up. In fact, you only need quality reviews that will be better for your rankings, not many new reviews to rank top. As you can see in the image below:

European Granite Joint Stock Company has 16 reviews, but only 4 stars, while Quoc Trong marble company has only 3 reviews and achieves 5 stars. Thus, it is not the number of reviews that determines the ranking on Google Map, but the quality of the review.

So how is quality defined? I will explain a little bit. Google will evaluate a quality review, when it comes from a high-level Local Guide and the content of the review meets the standards in terms of text and images.

I will guide you to get a quality review:

  • Firstly, the content should write about 100-150 words, have SEO keywords, help the Map identify the keywords, from which your Map increases the relevance and endorsement for the audience you want SEO to be on top.

  • Second: Review contains quality and unique images, maybe pictures you took yourself or pictures you took online, pictures with captions, the number of 2-3 photos is enough.

2. Question & Answer

Question & Answer is the part to answer questions for customers. This is one of the sections you can take advantage of for SEO optimization. I take the Q&A section of The Coffee House as an example as shown below:

5. Optimizing Schema Entity

Meaning: Internet-Google-Website, they are linked together by connecting to each other via Internal Link. As I said in the Social Stack, Internal link section, you should insert the description so that it points to your website. If you add Schema to this link, the better because Google will identify you through both the link and the schema, from there it will let you to the top faster and easier. Hasmap 

Google stores in the system about Database Google Map in the form of ID code. You find the ID code of your website and put it in the Hasmap section that will help you optimize SEO, increase rankings effectively.

In this section, you need to add the Google CID and Hasmap link.

How to do this: You enter the keyword "Google CID Map", then on Google you go to the AgencyAnalytics website and follow the instructions on this page to get the Googe CID code of your website.

Chapter 4: Anchor Text – Make a difference for SEO Map

By now you almost know all the secrets of dominating SEO Google Map already. But this is the last and most difficult part of how to SEO Google Map.


Before I get into the main point, I also want to emphasize that what I am about to say is that sometimes you don't need to do it, but just let it be, you have a great chance of achieving the top 3 in a series of Google keywords. Map already, but not necessarily focus on this.

But the difficult thing is that if your Anchor Text density is too high, it will lead to an overdose of Google SEO. This sometimes backfires, causing your Web site to be  penalized by Google.
